“I was wrong. Everywhere Theatre Group was right”

” At the very least, Everywhere Theatre Group’s members (and as I write this I’m thinking of Teddy and Leah) shouldn’t have to lure us with toy snakes and the promise of campy horror theater to have a chance, stitched into the seams, to share meaningful personal experience.”

” Weirdly, Flying Snakes in 3D!! may well be the show that generated the most interesting discussion this summer in New York”

http://www.culturebot.net/2012/07/13921/thoughts-on-why-we-must-talk-about-art-and-class/

-THEATRE IS EASY.COM

“ It’s a refreshingly original piece of theatre that is pretty damn funny, yet still asks the audience to take an honest emotional journey and really see the artist behind the crazy characters on stage.”

“Everywhere Theatre Group is definitely a company to keep an eye on, and I know that they will continue to create inventive and socially relevant work that will continue to delight audience and make them question their place in the world.”

http://www.theasy.com/Reviews/2012/F/flyingsnakesin3d.php

NEW YORK THEATRE REVIEW

“Only Everywhere Theatre Group can successfully juxtapose the struggling artist message with a science fiction narrative about snakes”

“Be spellbound by this piece. I was impressed with the tenacity and spirit of the company members, and the rawness and camp rolled together.”

http://newyorktheatrereview.blogspot.com/2012/07/allison-schubert-on-flying-snakes-in-3d.html

“Flying Snakes lets the audience have its fun while also giving them something to think about”-FLAVORPILL

“Delightfully cheesy “special effects”, great acting, and a fast-paced, literate script propel us into the epic struggle of heart vs. pocketbook, dreams vs. the rent is due….A clever piece of theater about theater, FLYING SNAKES IN 3D!! is a wonderful way to pass sixty minutes and laugh till it hurts.”- eljnyc

“The gentrification of New York’s theater scene gets confronted, tackled, and beaten in this rough comedy of politics and passion”-The Fifth Wall

“…groundbreaking, innovative, highly original show. The real message of Flying Snakes in 3D came to you later….wrapped up in layer upon layer of smart, thoughtful, good theatre..that was by the people, of the people and for the people”-THE HAPPIEST MEDIUM

“I’m in agreement, often passionate agreement, with almost all of the sentiments, convictions, and frustrations that underlie Everywhere Theatre Group’s Flying Snakes in 3-D”-NYTHEATRE.COM

“…All in good fun. The play features imaginative video sequences by Chase Voorhees and you even get to pelt the actors with rubber snakes. In one particularly jarring juxtaposition, a writer’s candid monologue about her love for theater is spliced with a histrionic scene in which the two scientists accuse each other of creating the killer king cobras.”- Stage And Cinema

“…..delight in railing against the theater elite….rich whites and trust-fund kids ….. sticking a hot poker in the ass of the one-percent.” THE VILLAGE VOICE

Everywhere Theatre Group aims to explore the place of theater in our ever rapid, technology-obsessed society in this funny, touching and wildly theatrical tribute to the art form. In this fusion of parody, the avant-garde, and real-life stories, a young and broke theater company attempts to make a play about mutant flying snakes that are accidentally released from the headquarters of CIA-enlisted scientists Dr. Inis Goodheart and Dr. Frank Sheckles, in hopes of high box offices sales. Under the setting of earth under attack, violent chaos ensues and government officials send Four Universally Combative Killers (a.k.a THE FUCKERS) to the rescue. Packed with dance, extremely cheap special effects and stunning video design, as this tongue-in-cheek science fiction parody aims to wildly entertain while daring to ask the question: Why are we still making theater?

Beth sits at a laptop alone late at night, watching cat videos on YouTube. When she starts chatting with Tom, an aspiring writer who works at Bed Bath and Beyond, a genuine attraction begins to blossom. Through a world where cockroaches sing and dance and lonely people fumble desperately for connections, DEAD PEOPLE fuses together cinematic video design, dance and surrealism to tell an honest romantic comedy in our digitized society.
