ETG is casting  performers for our upcoming summer show, “THE INTERNET” which will perform in August 2010 at the INCUBATOR ARTS PROJECT in New York, NY. We are seeking performers, dancers/excellent movers  who  possess raw emotion in their movement.

Show Description:

ETG attempts to stage the world wide web in THE INTERNET. Fusing dance, movement, video, music, original and found texts, we will examine what lies beneath the cool, sleek surface of the information super highway. By asking what propels us into the shadowy underworld of the world wide web where we desire to objectify bodies and see people fail, we aim to find the root of human connection at its newest form.

First rehearsal: 6/12. Rehearses evenings/Saturdays in Brooklyn; Show dates: August 12-21.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 5 from 9am-12pm, and on Sunday June 6 from 10am-2pm at Shetler Studios. Please indicate any conflicts in your email, as we will be contacting you with an appointment on a first come, first served basis. If you cannot make these audition dates but would still like to be considered, please indicate this in your submission and we will contact you after JUNE 6th regarding a time slot.

For this audition, please prepare a 60 second dance piece to the music of your choosing (bringing music on an iPod is fine). We want to see your love for dance in this piece, so prepare anything that moves you and gets you excited and passionate. Any style of dance or type of music is great.

We will soon be holding auditions for a new show, A Pale Horse, Death & Hell Followed With (A Lifetime Original Series), written and directed by Teddy Nicholas and Leah Winkler, which will premiere at the Ontological-Hysteric Theater in December 2009. We are also looking for an Assistant Director/Stage Manager to work on this production.

The Show:
A Pale Horse, Death & Hell Followed With (A Lifetime Original Series) is a destruction of clichés in American media. This show is a rollercoaster ride tackling universal issues (work, love, fear and death) with an injection of illogical dramatic moments resulting in frightening outcomes of standard narratives.
