Meet the Cast and Crew of Pale Horse

We have been in rehearsals for the December 3rd premiere of a Pale Horse, Death and Hell Followed With ( a lifetime original series) at the Ontological Hysteric Theater .

IKE UFOMADU

Ike Ufomadu (IKE) is a man who lives in Brooklyn, NY.  He holds a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Earlier this year, he worked with Everywhere Theatre Group for the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre’s “Short Form” series. He’s also performed with Coffee Cup at PS122, NY Classical Theatre in Central Park, NY Neo-Classical at 440 Lafayette and NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing at the Institute of Contemporary Arts: London. In March 2010, he travels to Chicago with Young Jean Lee’s The Shipment. And this winter, he will once more host “A Special Christmas”.

MAIA LORIAN

Maia Lorian (MAIA) is a native New Yorker, graduate of LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts and trained with Tisch/ETW, SITI Co., and The Moscow Art Theatre. Credits Include: Carmina Burana (Lincoln Center), HBO’s Flight Of The Conchords, All My Children, CollegeHumor, The Onion, A series of films by Mike Kuchar (of the Kuchar Brothers) including Heaven Cannot Hold Them, Cicada (RIPE Theatre: voted best of theater SF Bay Guardian). She has appeared in numerous commercials including Cheetos, Comedy Central, ESPN, MTV, Nickelodeon and Good Day New York. For more info, visit http://maialorian.weebly.com

NANCY UPTON

Nancy Upton (EXTREMELY OLD WOMAN) has studied theater at Tulane University and Circle in the Square Theater school. She is currently pursuing a degree in history and creative writing at NYU. She has appeared in VOLUME 2: HORROR at the Ontological Hysteric Theater with ETG followed by Big Girls Club (The Happy Dance Dance Princess Show!) in the Antidepressant Festival at the Brick Theater and THE FORMULA PLAY ( at HERE Arts Center)

Dan Whalen (DAN)is a social worker and sometime stage performer who originally hails from Grand Rapids, Michigan who was most recently seen in What Is Wild at the Ontological Hysteric Incubator.  Favorite past productions – all from his time at Ohio Wesleyan University – include The Photographer, Stop Kiss, Noises Off!, and Henry IV Part I.  When not working or otherwise trying to pay the bills he enjoys playing the bass, reading Beckett, and talking baseball.

T. Ramn Campbell ( LUKE): A small town boy from Ossining, NY with roots in Tuskegee, AL and Jarrett, VA, I grew up an active participant in the theatre arts, playing in high school productions of The King and I, Bye Bye Birdie and Gypsy. Furthering my education at SUNY Purchase College in Westchester, NY I earned my BA in Literature/Drama Studies where I wrote, produced, directed and performed in my first original work.  I then moved to Denver, CO where receiving my MFA in acting at the National Theatre Conservatory.  As an apprentice with the Denver Center Theatre Company I had the honor of performing in such classics as The Tempest, Dream On Monkey Mountain, The Women of Trachis, The Importance of Being Ernest, Bus Stop, Le Misanthrope and Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde.  After a brief hiatus, I returned to my Alma Mata, at SUNY Purchase to join the cast of Four directed by Teddy Nicolas.  That experience inspired me to return to the stage and my love of theatre.  I am honored to lend my talents to the ETG and the cast of A Pale Horse, Death, Hell: Followed With a Lifetime Original Series.

LINDSAY MACK

Lindsay Mack (LINDSAY, CHOREOGRAPHER, COSTUME DESIGNER) received her BFA in performance from Hofstra University. Credits include: A Pale Horse…Culmination (ShortForm@Ontological-Hysteric), The Formula Play (HERE Arts Center), The Fake Madwoman (Snapple Theater Center), Into the Woods (Cinderella), Class Project (The Public Theater). Nikki Dillon (COMPUTER) originally hales from Atlanta, GA and moved to New York to study performance and pursue a career in acting.  She attended Hofstra University and recieved a BFA in theatre performance.  In her first year living in the city she has appeared in Holly Down in Heaven at New Dramatists, The Daughter at Theatroiati, Synesthesia 2009 at The Electric Pear, and The Twelfth Labor at Lark Play Development Center.  Some of her other favorite roles are Marie Duplesis in Camille, and Austin in True West.

RACHEL PEARL

Rachel Pearl ( COMPUTER) is an actor/singer/writer originally from Issaquah, Washington, and is happy to be joining ETG for the first time. She holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Hofstra University. Credits include: The Winter’s Tale (Paulina), Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife), Equus (Dora Strang) The Fantasticks (Louisa).

mail-3BARBARA ELDREDGE

Barbara Eldredge (lighting, scenic deisgn) is a theater artist and lighting designer with no particular hometown.  Last season, Barbara co-created the performance piece What is Wild as a part of the Ontological-Hysteric Theater’s Short Form program. She has designed the lighting for Stella Adler Studio’s productions of The Merchant of Venice, Twlefth Night, Songs & Statues, and Adler’s MADAIR choreography workshops.  Most recently, Barbara designed Everywhere Theatre Group’s BGC- The Formula Play at HERE Arts Center.

Toby Ring Thelin ( Stage manager) is a director, playwright, technician and performer.  He graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, spent several years as the City of Savannah’s Theatre Specialist, taught at the Savannah Arts Academy, and served as the Associate Artistic Director for the Savannah Shakespeare Festival.  He has directed shows for FringeNYC and The Brick Theater, and recently served as Stage Manager on Desi Moreno-Penson’s Ghost Light at 59E59, directed by Jose Zayas.  He is excited to be working with Everywhere Theater Group.  He’s also seen or directed Hamlet about a hundred and sixty-seven times, and it just keeps getting funnier every single time he sees it.

ABOUT MELANCHOLY ELEPHANTS

Davison Robie is a composer, sound designer and musical director from Jameston, New York. As a bassist he plays for various groups, including the (late) Dick Dickinson Jazztet, Trio d’Alma, S.T.E.V.E, and the Anderson/Noblesville Symphonies, as well as the Butler Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, and Composer’s Orchestra.  He has written for various chamber groups and theatrical endeavors, including “Free Play: An Exercise in Equanimity”  for Albion College Department of Theatre and Dance and “Everywhere” for Indianapolis New Art Theatre. He has specializes in Music Theory and Composition and studies double bass with David Murray and composition with Michael Schelle.

Nickolas Hartgrove is a composer, sound designer and musical director who specializes in Music Technology and New Media.  His interests include drumming and percussion, electronic composition, sound design, and teaching.  Nick played tenor drums for Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps the summers of 2004 and 2005.  Since then, he has helped teach percussion at various high schools.

Together, Nick and Dace write music for the group Melancholy Elephants whose first EP will be out later this year.  For Everywhere Theatre Group, they recently finished directing a radio play after Teddy Nicholas’ “State of Terror,” although their primary contributions include music and sound design.

*Pale Horse is written by Leah Winkler with additional text by Teddy Nicholas from VOLUME 4: FAITH.All cast and crew  members collaborate in the rehearsal process. Dir: Leah Co Dir: Chase Voorhees.  Our bios are under the ‘about’ section. We will also be using original music/sound by our good friends Meloncholy Elephants ( Dace Robie and Nicholas Hartgrove) that features the voice of Mike Hosp.
